WDM Development Guide online! The guide, The WDM Difference, was distributed to Business Record subscribers in January 2009, and the Chamber has copies available for interested parties as well. This online version allows readers to virtually flip through the publication from their own computer. This version is linked internally, so you can scan the table of contents and go directly to a section that interests you. All web links in the publication are "live" as well, so readers can click any visible links to go to the associated websites for more information. The guide is called The WDM Difference because it focuses on what is unique about West Des Moines -- our wide scope of businesses, retail offerings, opportunities for entrepreneurship, terrific neighborhoods, exceptional education, growing list of medical facilities (including two hospitals currently under construction), and recreation and special events. The guide serves as an economic development tool as The West Des Moines Chamber works to recruit and retain businesses in the city. The print version includes a perforated pullout map that highlights land uses and development areas in the City. That map is also available halfway through the online publication.
