Medical Campus
Almost every option in medical care is available which is easy to access from interstate highways from all directions. These include
Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Surgery Center, HealthSouth Surgery Center of Des Moines, the Iowa Clinic, Iowa Heart Center, Lakeview Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Wolfe Eye Clinic.
The attractive, well-landscaped sites feature park-like campuses that are pleasing to patients and the many professionals who
work there. Parking is a breeze, and nearby you’ll find services, shopping and restaurants that make the location even more convenient and practical.
The West Des Moines “medical magnet” has emerged for several reasons.
A large concentration of residential development to the west makes the medical village a big draw to patients and to doctors who
live nearby. The Iowa Clinic, for example, is owned by doctors, many who live in the area.
In one convenient location, the medical experts offer a gamut of medical services and testing that complement one another. Medical
experts like to be located near other medical experts.
Since Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons (DMOS) was established more than 40 years ago, its mission has been to provide patients with the highest quality of care.
The specialty of orthopaedic surgery deals with the care of diseases and injuries to bones, joints, muscles and tendons. Orthopaedic surgeons commonly treat fractures and dislocations, arthritis, and sprains and strains of ligaments and muscles.
Complete treatment of many orthopaedic conditions often requires surgery and physical therapy.
The Des Moines Orthopaedic Centers provide clinical evaluation, surgery, physical therapy and pain management.
DMOS has three centers in the metro area. The Pain Management Center and MRI Imaging Center are located at DMOS West. For more information call (515) 244-1414.
ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY CENTER
The recently constructed Orthopaedic Surgery Center (OSC) is a partnership between Des Moines Orthopaedic Surgeons (DMOS) and Iowa Methodist Medical Center and is connected by a walkway. The new center includes four operating rooms, with an option to add a fifth as needed in the future.
OSC is exclusively dedicated to the care of patients with orthopaedic injuries. DMOS designed the facility with the goal of achieving
a high level of care for all patients. Like the physicians, the staff at the OSC specializes in the surgical care of orthopaedic patients
only. Their knowledge and experience allow them to provide an efficient, comfortable environment for surgery and recovery. For more information call (515) 244-1414.
