Dear WDM Chamber Member:
 I mean, if there was ever a week you had thought about attending a WDM Chamber program or event, this is your week. Why? Well, starting this Wednesday, we will celebrate GameTruck of Iowa with a ribbon cutting which will be followed by our first WDM Chamber young professionals event, the New View Premiere. This event is expected to have over 200 young professionals in attendance. If you've been looking for a way to get your young employees out in the community amongst other young professionals in the business community, get them involved in New View. Click here to RSVP.
The Chamber Staff will be at the Greater Des Moines Partnership all day Friday editing the membership directory. If you want to make sure your directory listing will be correct, double check your current listing on the WDM Chamber's online membership directory. Note: Only one representative will be listed in the Partnership directory.

A NEW CONNECTION
The WDM Chamber is pleased to introduce the addition of a new program to our ever-increasing opportunities for members: The West Des Moines Development Connection. This entity, formerly known as the West Des Moines Development Corporation, has reorganized to come into the chamber structure with a fresh new program designed to more effectively engage and assist in economic development programs to promote West Des Moines regionally and nationally.
In addition to providing greater collaboration with the City in economic development iniatives, some of the projects at the top of the WDM Development Connection's agenda are the 3rd annual Jobs Expo scheduled for June 6th, and an August Economic Development Bus Tour of the areas of new and upcoming development for the City of West Des Moines.
Interested in learning more, or becoming part of this enthusiastic and focused new group? Mark your calendars for the kick-off, introductory event, scheduled for Monday, March 29 at 4:00 p.m. in the WDM City Hall Council Chambers. |
 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR GETS A FRESH LOOK
The West Des Moines Citizen of the Year Award has traditionally been recognized at our Annual Dinner in January. However, this year we're shaking things up and making sure the Citizen gets celebrated in a fresh new way.
More details will be released next week. Start thinking about who you would nominate for this outstanding award. |
