WDM ChamberWeeks' Itinerary

2010 Edition:  May 25, 2010
Dear Warm WDM Chamber Member:

BAHWell it's the end of May and I never thought I would be hoping my skin wouldn't get burnt while sitting in the car.  Thankfully, with the warm weather comes opportunities for great outdoor events.  This week we are featuring a great Business After Hours event at Wright Outdoor Solutions, 8000 Raccoon River Road, west of I-35 on Grand.  The event will be in their outdoor garden center, a beautiful setting for a warm Thursday afternoon.

This afternoon we will have our third session of Business Boot Camp.  Today's topic is creativity and problem solving.  There is a myth that great ideas only come from creative people.  Unfortunately that kind of thinking keeps people from participating in the creative process.  There is still time to register for today's class held at DeWaay Capital Management from 3:30 to 5 pm.  Register by clicking here.

Next week is the 3rd Annual WDM Development Connection Jobs Expo, June 2nd at the Sheraton.  We are still looking for a few employers to fill booth spaces.  To register visit www.wdmdev.org.

Don't forget about Smokin' in the Junction this upcoming weekend.  Valley Junction's second annual nationally sanctioned BBQ contest will be held from 3 - 10 pm on Saturday and Noon to 10 pm on Sunday.  The VJ Foundation is still looking for volunteers so contact Jamie if you are interested.  Great food, live music and tons of activities for the family.

Have a great week!
