Weeks' Itinerary
2010 Edition: June 15, 2010 |
|
Dear WDM Chamber Member:
Though school is out, the Chamber is still working hard to bring you quality summer events. Tomorrow, we've got an excellent Breakfast B4 Business event sponsored by Mimi's Cafe. Items on the menu include: Mixed Berry Pancakes, Flatbread Wraps, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon and much more. So it's hot and you don't feel like networking, at least come out for the food. HA!
If you are new with the WDM Chamber or simply need a review on value of your membership, you might think about clearing your calendar next Tuesday morning for our Membership Tune-Up event. The Tune-Up is held at West Des Moines City Hall in the Council Chambers and runs from 7:30 to 9:00 AM.
Finally, there are only two weeks until applications are due for participation in the West Des Moines Leadership Academy. The Academy is one of the Chamber's finest programs thanks to our wonderful volunteers. If you are on the fence as to whether you should apply, I encourage you to email Rose Breuss.
Have a great week!
Julie

About the Peek of the Weeks':
Each week, we'll give you a little peek. A peek at something, someone, or somewhere within the WDM Chamber membership. It's your job to figure out what we're peeking at! The first person to e-mail Julie identifiying the correct business and object will win $5.00. An additional $5.00 will be added each week until someone guesses correctly. |
NEW VIEW RAFFLES FOR VEGAS
New View, the West Des Moines Chamber's young professionals organization, needs your help.
Members of the committee will be selling raffle tickets during the entire month of June. Prizes being raffled include a brand new mountain bike, a 3 day, 2 night trip to Las Vegas and a membership to Kosama. The winning tickets will be announced at a special Business After Hours event on June 30th from 5 - 7 pm at Cabaret West Glen. Email Julie to RSVP for this great Chamber-wide event. You DO NOT need to be present to win.
Tickets go for $5 a piece or you can purchase 3 for $10 or 6 for $20. To buy tickets online, CLICK HERE. You will have the opportunity to purchase tickets at every WDM Chamber event in the month of June. The New View committee is hoping to raise at least $500 in order to keep bringing quality events to WDM Chamber young professionals. |

IT'S TIME TO REGISTER FOR WILD WEST GOLF
Plans for the Wild West Golf Shoot-Out are once again in full gallop! The date of this year's event will be Friday, September 10th at Beaver Creek Golf Course. Registration is now open!
Go online to register by clicking here.
This year's Shoot-Out is presented by Waste Management, MassMutual, and Coventry Health Care of Iowa. A line-up like that promises you a hip-roarin' good time! A special thank you must go out to Texas Roadhouse who has VERY generously agreed to provide a full chuckwagon barbeque lunch for all.
Also new this year - EmbarkIT and IBM are circling the wagons and planning a big surprise for all participants!
Don't golf? No need to miss out on all the fun. There are plenty of chances for your business to participate. Call the Chamber office (225.6009) or click here to learn how you can get more involved. |
