Dear WDM Chamber Member:

Tomorrow morning, the WDM Chamber is proud to bring you the Membership Tune-Up, 7:30 to 9 AM at West Des Moines City Hall. If you are new to the Chamber or just need a little refresher, join us for a light breakfast and a great presentation covering the wonderful benefits of being a WDM Chamber member.

Thursday, Heartland Mortgage Group has invited us all to their place for the monthly Business After Hours event. Join us for food, drink, networking and prizes. If you haven't signed up, please do so by sending me a quick email at julie@wdmchamber.org.

Finally, New View, WDM Chamber's young professionals group is having a raffle with proceeds to benefit future events and activies of this great yp group. New View started in March and boasts of over 150 active participants. The group focuses on professional development and networking skills. Prizes for the upcoming raffle include a new bike, a trip to Vegas and a membership to Kosama. To buy your tickets, click here. Act fast, the drawing will be held at a special Business After Hours event next Wednesday, June 30th at Cabaret West Glen. You do not need to be present to win.

Last week, a team of WDM Chamber Ambassadors competed in the Golden Circle Games. For the first time ever, the team won 6 of 6 played games and then competed in the final competition! Congratulations team! You made us all proud.

Artfest 2010

ArtFest Midwest THE OTHER ART SHOW began in 2003, after several local Des Moines artists expressed concern about being excluded from the annual downtown art show in June. ArtFest Midwest is offered as an alternative, affordable art show - a complement to the downtown show. Stookey Companies is a Des Moines-based family-owned and operated business that has been in existence for 20 years.

SADDLE UP; It's Time to Ride the Course

Plans for the Wild West Golf Shoot-Out are once again in full gallop! The date of this year's event will be Friday, September 10th at Beaver Creek Golf Course. Registration is now open!

This year's Shoot-Out is presented by Waste Management, MassMutual, and Coventry Health Care of Iowa. A line-up like that promises you a hip-roarin' good time! A special thank you must go out to Texas Roadhouse who has VERY generously agreed to provide a full chuckwagon barbeque lunch for all.

NEW VIEW RAFFLES FOR VEGAS

Members of the New View committee will be selling raffle tickets during the entire month of June. Prizes being raffled include a brand new mountain bike, a 3 day, 2 night trip to Las Vegas and a membership to Kosama. The winning tickets will be announced at a special Business After Hours event on June 30th from 5 - 7 pm at Cabaret West Glen. Email Julie to RSVP for this great Chamber-wide event. You DO NOT need to be present to win.

The New View committee is hoping to raise at least $500 in order to keep bringing quality events to WDM Chamber young professionals.
