on this short week before Thanksgiving:

1. The population of Singapore is the same weight as the amount of turkey consumed for Thanksgiving.

Approximately 690 Million pounds of turkey, this equal

s he weight of 4.48 million individuals at an average weight of 154 pounds, the population of Singapore.

2. Mary Had a Little Lamb helped make Thanksgiving a National Holiday.

Sarah Josepha Hale is credited as the person most responsible for making Thanksgiving a national holiday in the U.S. She wrote Mary Had a Little Lamb.

3. Aldrin and Armstrong's first lunar meal was turkey

4. The average person consumes over 4,500 calories on Thanksgiving Day.

5. The largest turkey ever raised was 86 pounds.

That is the size of a dog!
